Bloom

BLOOM removes over-abundant algae from aquatic ecosystems and turns it into a renewable material that replaces fossil fuel-based ingredients. This transformative process simultaneously helps to clean and re-oxygenate water systems while preventing carbon emissions associated with decomposition.

Z-Pole Rapid Deployment

Speed Cone technology comes from our expertise in avalanche probe design—a key component of Z-Poles’ stiffness and fast deployment.

Reviews

love them!

"though i was not sure about having something with a set length, i actually really ended up liking these. they're supremely light, easy to pack down, and i love the tech tips that come with them. the only thing i would prefer is a non-cork handle, because it gets dirty quite easily. however, it's easily looked past for the other positives."

Carbon Is Brittle in Cold

"Pole snapped on me while doing a winter hike, bottom section carbon failed and snapped, probably due to the cold weather making it brittle. Otherwise the pole was very lightweight and nice to use, just wish it lasted more than one season for this price."

The lightness makes a big difference

"These poles are perfect. I can hike forever now. I realized I never adjusted the length of my poles anyway, so I went with these fixed length poles, amd I love them"

Tony P. (5/5)

"They are fantastic, exactly what i was looking for"

Wife loves them

"Got these for a trip to Alaska to hunt caribou and while we haven’t been yet we’ve used them around central Texas to get some reps in and love them. Big upgrade from our old poles. Glad I got them."

Christopher L. (5/5)

Comfortable, strong, light

"The strap adjusts easily, the cork handles are comfortable in cold environments as well as bare handed. They stow and carry compactly. They do rattle slightly when assembled and are just a bit noisier than flicklocks, but that’s the design tradeoff for weight, and I am very pleased with the strength of the poles for the weight. They are plenty robust enough for backcountry skiing or backpacking."

Chris S. (5/5)

Nearly perfect

"The poles are stable with no wobble. Hand straps are easy to adjust. The unlock button can be operated with gloves on. Have yet to snap any polls. These are nearly perfect. I have the pursuit and the distance poles, definitely would take the weight penalty for a cork grip."

michael s. (5/5)

Comfortable and compact

"Very light and compact. Easy to bring with me on hikes and trail runs. The cork hand grips are extremely comfortable."

Iliana (5/5)

Very pleased.

"I do lots of hiking and scrambling in the RMNP. Poles work well, are light, good grip, and easy to use. When purchasing you need to select the height of the pole since you cant’t change the length, I recommend going with a size longer."

Major Reliability Issues with the Locking Button – 0 for 2

"I really wanted to be a fan of BD poles, but I’ve been let down twice now. After less than a year, my Distance Z poles failed when a button disappeared inside the shaft. Thinking it was a fluke, I bought the 'top-tier' Pursuit Carbon Zs, only to have the locking button constantly retract during a recent snow hike. It was not only annoying but actually dangerous to have my gear fail while hiking downhill. Two pairs, two button failures—I'm officially disappointed."
