With enough comfort to climb WI5, enough warmth to belay and enough dexterity to tie knots in cold temps, the Black Diamond Punisher is our go-to glove for long days, hard climbing and variable conditions. With 100-gram PrimaLoft Gold insulation on the back of the hand and 190-gram fixed fleece lining, the Punisher is our midweight winter climbing glove. The TPU knuckle patch protects against wear and an ice tool specific, pre-curved fit provides a secure grip. Our innovative "seamless pinky" construction, where we've removed the seam on the pommel side of the pinky, increases the level of comfort when hanging on your tool. A waterproof BD.dry™ insert protects against wet ice while the leather palm patch and suede nose wipe add grip and comfort. The Punisher's Pertex Shield rip-stop shell is durable while the 4-way stretch shell at the fingers make for a dexterous, supple feel while climbing.

"They are flexible and comfy but seem well insulated. I like that it seems like I could use my fingers in these with cold weather, unlike other gloves that are too bulky. Haven't taken them into too cold of weather yet, so we'll see how they hold up."

"I am a recreational ice climber in the Adirondack Mountains in New York. The Punishers check my main two boxes for ice climbing gloves, which is that they are warm and waterproof, however I echo other reviews in saying that you should definitely size up. Additionally, and perhaps this is because I had to size up for general fit, there is some extra fabric at the end of the fingertips that limits dexterity a little and sometimes gets caught in the carabiner gates. Overall I like them and they are my go-to climbing gloves alongside the OR Extravert."

"I have flown a small black helicopter with no doors for the last 15 years and I've been in search of winter gloves from the beginning. I cannot believe it's taken so long to find these punisher gloves. They are perfect! They keep my hands warm and give me just enough dexterity to feel the flight control buttons and work the aircraft systems. Who knew all I have to do was look at the ice climbing world. Hopefully the word gets out because these are amazing gloves."
