This service is for second Generation packs (Black Diamond Jetforce Pro & PIEPS Jetforce BT) that are beyond their warranty period. Second Generation Packs include: Black Diamond Jetforce Pro 10L, 25L, 35L, Split 25L and the Pieps Jetforce BT 10L, 25L, 35L.
This service provides any needed firmware updates as well as a battery health check and replacement. If you have a second generation Jetforce that is experiencing shortened battery life, charging difficulties, or showing error lights not listed in the manual, a firmware and battery update are likely needed. After purchasing the service, you will receive a Return Authorization number (RA) via email. Please note that you will need to be issued an RA number BEFORE shipping your pack in for service. Please expect 3-4 weeks for the service.

"I just got the firmware updated for free on my first generation jet force bag and a new battery for a few hundred dollars. I’m stoked to be safe on the snow once again. This backpack fits great and is much lighter than my snowpulse bag. Not too mention it may be used up to 6 times on a charge for those long hut trips with multiple avalanches"

"At first I was disappointed that my pack broke. I couldn’t find the receipt so Black Diamond told me they wouldn’t warrantee the pack, which was frustrating. I told them to go ahead and service the pack, which cost $500. To my surprise, after looking at the pack BD determined there was something wrong with the electronics and replaced the pack free of charge and refunded the $500!"
