"I grabbed an old school fifi to hang my haul bag from when rope soloing and see how it compares to the adjustable Alfifi and SpeedFi. This Fifi worked well and would be fine if you are only aiding short stretches of a climb, but the adjustable Fifi hooks make a big difference for the long haul. This Fifi should still be handy for rope soloing, so no money wasted! Definitely check out the SpeedFi. I think it’s pretty equivalent to the Alfifi in functionality (they each have different strengths), but 30% less and it will probably last longer since it uses a cord rather than a strap! If you aren’t sure what you want from a Fifi, definitely get the SpeedFi, and grab one of these for your tag bag if you rope soloing multi pitch!"
